According to the legend, the land surrounding Edinburgh was once plagued by a huge ferocious dragon. It would circle the skies, terrifying locals, breathing fire, stealing precious livestock, and generally getting up to dragon-ly mischief.
Over weeks and months and years, the dragon ate and ate and ate, taking whatever supplies and animals it wanted from the people of Scotland without second thought. The beast became so greedy that it grew fat and slow. No longer the fierce monster it had once been, the dragon’s constant fullness had made it increasingly lazy. One day, it rested on top of a peak just outside the city for a sleep and unfortunately for the dragon, it never woke up and instead it became the hill we now know as Arthur’s Seat.
Handcrafted with meticulous care using over 6000 Jump Rings and over 400 Scales, these statement pieces, with a wingspan and height of up to 3 foot, captures the legendary beast's majestic slumber, showcasing the artist's unique chainmaille techniques.

- For every £5 spent on an eGift Card, The Buyer* will receive 1 Entry into The Sleeping Dragon Prize Draw and you will receive Ticket Number(s) by email.
- The expectation is that a Live Draw will take place on 24th December 2024 and details will be confirmed to all entrants no later than 20th December 2024.
- The winner will be able to choose from available stock (links to current stock, will be sent with Congratulations email) or we can have a discussion to create a Custom Dragon and timescale will be confirmed.
