Welcome to A Little Twisted by Zoë
a contemporary jewellery brand based in Scotland, where all jewellery is designed and realised with love and care. All jewellery is handcrafted, with each unique piece being created from scratch using a variety of traditional techniques, using Sterling Silver, Gold-Filled and Copper wire.
Zoë Slater is the designer behind A Little Twisted and what started out as a hobby during the Pandemic, has steadily grown over the last few years.
Using a variety of techniques, Zoë's jewellery takes inspiration from traditional weaves and chain-maille styles to create modern, vibrant pieces, which are as individual as her customers.
At A Little Twisted by Zoë, Zoë takes pride in her commitment to quality and sustainability. Where possible, she uses responsibly sourced materials and eco-friendly packaging, to ensure that her impact on the environment is minimal.

Meet the Maker - Zoë Slater
Starting out as a hobby during the Pandemic, I became passionate about my craft. and now I work tirelessly to create pieces that you will cherish for years to come.
Working with Sterling Silver, Gold-Filled or Copper Wire, I either wrap semi-precious gemstones / cabochons, or use traditional chain-maille techniques to create contemporary styled pendents, rings or earrings.
My services include custom jewellery design, where I can take your own semi-precious Gem stone / cabochon to create your individual piece, while collaborations with other artisans are another facet to my work.

Zoë Slater - Designer
Each piece is handmade entirely from scratch, with a minimal amount of components (such as chains and earring posts) being bought in ready made. And, as is required by law, all my Sterling Silver pieces which are over 7.78 grams are Hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office, where I also have my own registered Maker's Mark - the ALT symbol you can see on this page!!
Much of my work includes semi-precious gemstones, I’m a bit of a magpie and I am drawn the stunning array of colours available. I also love working with such materials as obsidian glass, with each piece being unique due to the individuality of the glass.
Based in a town called Bathgate, just to the west of Scotland's capital city of Edinburgh, I exhibit regularly at events in throughout Scotland at different times of the year where you can see my work. Here, you can try some on and maybe go on to treat yourself! Like many artisans, I do love these types of events, they are a great way for me and my fellow makers to meet and get to know each other plus, of course, I get to meet and know my lovely clients.
